Hk Ht Hg Owners do any off you guys know where the fuel over flow pipe ends up this is the one on the fuel filler tube passenger side which exits the floor I took mine off ages ago and cant work out what to do with it it finishes about half way along the vehicle underneath any help or photos would be great.

one goes back into the tank adjacent to the filler neck and the other exists out through the floor on the passengers side between the corner of the tank and the rear seat frame. Mine has a piece of black hose joining the two steel lengths. Hope this shows it better than I explained it  Edited by user Monday, 21 November 2016 10:07:32 PM(UTC)

It joins the vent pipe from the filler neck with a short length of rubber tube alongside the tank, inside the boot about 150mm behind the hole in the floor. It passes through a rubber angle grommet in the floor, and from there under the car along the front of the tank. It ends up about the middle of the car, and is secured with a metal P clip at the front centre fuel tank fixing screw.

That's the one, WAHK. Wish I'd had those pictures, which would have saved a lot of typing.
The HK 25 gallon tank is a different arrangement under the car as there is no centre tank fixing screw, but there is a tag spot welded to the tank. The pipe is the same for 16.5 and 25 gallon tanks, but bent differently.
Ausjacko, the HT and HG venting arrangement is different to HK, both for the filler and for the tank vent.

Thanks guys but what goes on the end off the pipe on the pipe that exits the floor I do remember it having a clip now but surely its not just an open Pipe?

Both Ford & Holden vented to the atmosphere in the past.Once carbon canisters, pollution control and environmental issues took over it all changed.The car companies have to test to ensure NO fumes are detected today.
