How many GTS's actually got warrigal inside the boot compartment? My Dandenong car didnt and I doubt any Adelaide cars did. The engineering data lists three choices for the rear compartment interior, unless I'm reading it wrong. Black 299-9187 or Box Black 599-5285 or Warrigal black 222-6459 Should it be warrigal in the boot?

The trouble is the plants always differed from each other, and as soon as you think something is nailed a spanner gets thrown in the works when a car turns up that breaks the mould. Add to this that GMH didn’t make all changes at a Series boundary or even when they say they did (your car for example is prior to the published breakpoint when they changed from Chevrolet engine to McKinnon engine yet it has a McKinnon engine). This is why concours judging of these is always going to be so difficult. |

I know every plant did their own thing but it would be nice to know the details of the way GMH intended them to be painted.
Hopefull the concours judges dont look too closely at paint finishes because every restored Holden I look at is painted different in almost every area, theres nothing for restorers to follow so thats what you get.
I'm sure the GT Ford guys dont paint their half-million dollar cars wildly different to the next car do they? Maybe they do.
I'll be replicating most of the details as found on my car but to have the option of doing some areas the way GMH intended would be good. For example I might do my upper rad support panel in Warrigal, it definately wasnt originaly but the GMH engineering says it should be for GTS so that gives me an option. Same story with the boot compartment, except its still a mystery.
