Hi guys, I've just fitted an MSD Streetfire dissy with coil in cap to my 327 Chev in my HK ute. I can't get the factory HK tacho to get a reading from the tach feed terminal on the dissy. Is there any secrets to matching them or other parts required to get the factory VDO tach to work with the MSD dissy? I know MSD sell a Tach Adaptor but don't want to waste $$ on one if it still won't work. Any tips/info greatly appreciated!

Hi Mate,

I am not 100% sure of this, but I am under the impression that if you move from the stock points distributor to any HEI version that you need to have the board in the tachometer upgraded. I seem to recall reading a bit of online literature that suggests this. Not sure where you are located but Ringwood Speedometer Service does this.
