Have a talk to COME about them. I know they are competition, but just listen and weigh up what they say.

high performance world, rocket, i know that they are $1100 for a complete kit.
for a basic motor, the eagle kit is the cheapest way to do it. even if you get stuff from the US.

Once you go H-beams, and forged pistons for a 450hp+ setup you should star

I was at a BBQ on Friday night at a local machine shop. There were several engine builders and mechanics...

No one had anything good to say about procomp.... Several stories about how much weight had to be taken off their cranks to make them balance...

You guys do realise you get what you pay for right?

Parts like Procomp are, generally speaking, ok for general use. Some parts are of course a safer bet than others. If its high performance youre after, you need better gear, and you pay for it.

im not saying the procomp stuff wouldnt work, but it would definitely be shaking itself apart when it ran, due to the imbalance in counterweights.

Procomp is garbage, just coz street machine built one, How long will it last? The coke can alloy heads go soft, they flow no better than iron vn heads and the cranks are garbage.

Ive heard of 2 eagle cranks failing too.

In reply to the OP, iron vn/vs heads, stock valved and opened up a touch, redline single plane manifold (fit easy under the bonnet), 750 vac sec. and pacemaker 1 3/4 try y pipes. Cam around 230 degrees at 0.050 and itd be an awesome streeter.

I just found this on youtube....

Note the amount of holes in the crank counter weights... they have removed an aweful lot of metal to get this sucker to balance...
