I have used a small tub of "Bicycle Grease" to lube points for many years. That is what was on the label and it wouldn't surprise me if it was made in the 50s or 60s. Unfortunately it is all gone.
I have been using standard all-purpose grease in its place but this hasn't worked out. On a couple of occasions, especially on cold mornings, the points could be heard "screaming" for more lubrication.
So clearly something a bit runnier or cold resistant is needed.
I was wondering what others use for this? Any suggestions?
