Hi all,Car has been on blocks for 25yrs, turned it over the other week but no spark just wondering, if I run a wire straight from the battery +ve to the coil, bypassing the ignition switch, will the engine fire and run?

It will assuming it has new fuel, working carby and good spark plugs. Make sure it is going to get oil pressure though, method differs depending upon the engine type.
Don’t put 12V to an old 9V cool for too long either.
