Holden's power figures are they rated in 91 octane from 1990's on
The HSV power figures may be in 95 octane ?
I was looking at the power of my wife's Toyota Aurion V6 and seen in other Nations with no 91 octane that they gave more power, driving the Aurion I find on E10 94 octane or 95 it has like 50hp more f it goes well, I have hosed of VE Commodores no problem on the 91 crap. and I have had people with VE V6 say how much better theirs goes on E10 94 and I say yes it will because from 2010 Australia was set to get rid of 91 octane and only have 95 octane as the lowest, but PM Gillard put a stop to it, so we are having people using this 91 crap and such truly is a joke as to pollution laws as well they have showed total disregard for all their BS on claims wanting to reduce such and turning a blind eye to this issue, the amount of fuel wasted in a year could be estimated alone would be huge now.
I had a new 1999 5.0L 179kw ute stock as and I could not run 91 in it because it was that gutless especially on hot days that running 91 was a joke. When the VT 5.0L first came out Holden said to use 95 but then the back lash came and they marketed it to run 91 due to fear of sales. I found using 95 was worth every cent more and when worked out as to mileage just the same $ to KM and a mates dad had a 1999 5.0L LTD and he was one who did as I do recording all mileage and he said the same as me. their was no point in running the 91 crap at all and back then the difference per L was only 4cents. but if we got rid of 91 the 95 would come down in price.
