Hi all, I have a 10 bolt diff that has all the signs that it is a factory Hk/t/g 10 bolt. It’s a 3.08 ratio date code 8/68 with the early clutch type lsd. Yes it has the correct stud pattern and mounts also. The only thing that makes me wonder if it has been built from a Camaro diff is the casting number on the center housing. It is 3894869NF which relates to Camaro. Does anyone have anymore info on these?

The ones used in Holdens came from the same foundries that built them for Chevrolet and other GM vehicles, only the tubes and the axles were done here. It is probably from a GTS327 as that is the most likely use for a 3.08 Salisbury in that timeframe, but could also come out of another HK optioned with a 3.08 Salisbury. |

Thanks for the info. Everything points to it being a Holden made Hk/t/g 10 bolt and not a Chev/ Camaro, I just wanted to cross check the casting numbers.

They’ll be the same, as I said they are from the same foundry. Too hard to get the my Salisbury diffs at the moment to check what they are. |

As HK 1837 said. On mine here it is 3894859 NF . It is the same casting # for 10 Bolt Diffs fitted to 67– 69 Camaros. For 12 Bolt # was 3894860 NF. One number up. 60 rather 59. Other numbers on this one. If it’s any help the # Stencilled on the axle tube is 7449413” and the # stamped into it is 16 H 8A Flem
