is the tailshaft for HQ sedan the same length for 6 cyl/
m20/bango as 8cyl/m20/salisbury 10 bolt holden?
also what is the difference in length from sedan to wagon?
I am doing a conversion

Wagon/ute/van/statesman are all the same length. Sedan is shorter and tonner is longer. Tailshaft for the combos you describe are the same length but rear uni is smaller for 6cyl.

Hi Guys. I beg to differ Byron. The front of a V8 Salisbury diff protrudes further forward. I know its not that much, but the V8 tailshaft will be 0.76" (about 3/4") shorter. Wagon/ute/van/Statesman tailshaft is 3" longer than SWB sedan & coupe.

Yes my bad. I should learn to read the question again after ive typed before I hit the submit button. I read the 6cyl/M20 and V8/M20 bit and assumed both diffs were banjos where the question very clearly says salisbury AND also 10 bolt.
