Does anyone know if there is a one way valve in the fuel line back to the tank or in the tank pick up. Just trying to diagnose why im not getting fuel to fuel filter/fuel pump. Blowing compressed air back towards the tank goes nowhere

There is no one way valve, but I'd be checking for a perished rubber hose at the tank fitting & in the chassis rail joint.
When you say it "goes nowhere", can you hear it escaping anywhere ?

Hi Dr Terry
Any amount of air applied to the hard line at the engine bay gets spat back at me. I cant hear it anywhere else

Try removing petrol cap first, Then if it still spits back you've got a blockage. Try the hoses first as Dr Terry says then look at the fuel pick up in the tank.

Just remove the petrol filler cap & have somebody put their ear to the filler neck while you blow with compressed air. Blockages are rare, but if you have one the tank will be full of cr@p, so will need removing anyway. Dr Terry did WB get a filter sock on the end of the pickup pipe (in the tank?) like Commodore did? if so, these have a habit of going hard, actually acting like a plastic bag blocking the pickup pipe and so, zero fuel goes to the pump |
