I'm a fridge by trade so I am keen to give it a crack would just love to have a manual a long the way! Thanks! Which system are you referring to ? The factory system with the Frigidaire compressor or the dealer-fitted unit. Dr Terry Sorry I didn't realise you replied so quickly thanks! It's the Air International / dealer fitted type.

Sadly there is no 'manual' of any type for the HX/HZ/WB Air International system.
The best you will get is if somebody has kept a copy of the original fitting instructions. I think that would be a very rare find.

Dr Terry Thankyou. I was hoping to get a copy of what Crowe was talking about on page 1. I think it's what you're talking about.

Hi was just reading this post as I’m restoring my HJ. It has the dealer fitted ac evaporator under the dash in the centre butting up with the centre console. Can I use this with updated compressor and equipment as I have updated the whole engine bay to a sbc.

Probably a good idea to fit a new TX valve to suit the later type gas. Dr Terry Edited by user Friday, 17 September 2021 3:31:56 PM(UTC)

I am just keen to know if the dealers just put a switch somewhere or how exactly the whole setup worked. I hope you've been well! Thanks, Ben :)

You are really stretching the 'Grey Matter' now.
I seem to remember it involved the slider control for the LH footwell vent (near the driver's knee).
Because the whole LH air intake unit was effectively replaced by the A/C evaporator, the LH control no longer did anything. I think the used it to operate a lever & a switch. It also had a blue plastic label added to it.
