I am of the belief hat all HT Broughams were 308 Holden powered, bar one 307 ? but 307 Chev powered HT Broughams were never on the cards for the public Sale to order.
The 307 Chev with auto in HT were only for sale in everything but for the Broughams.
All 307 V8 were gone by 8-1969. so if you ordered a 307 on 9-1969 you got a 308 or maybe up to the 10-1969 ?

HT Brougham got the same hubcaps as the HK Brougham. as no white centre in the HT Brougham like all the other HT bar the GTS Hubcaps that are the same on all HK-T-G. And the HG Brougham got red centre.

So the HG Brougham hubcap must be the most rare hubcap of all.

I wonder what the price was back in the day of Premier hub caps new were and the Brougham ones must of been more $ pretty flash back in the days, I like the Premier ones the best and HG red the most.
I can not think of a better looking hubcap on any Holden or Ford maybe a 1971-2 Galaxie LTD were nice and they were on 1978 F100 XLT.

I am not into hubcaps back in the day as I was into what was called Mag wheels only but looking back such as they do stand out.

HT Brougham got the best seats and only ones that had high back front and also back as HG went back to HK low type.

You are right about the 308 only being available in Brougham initially, and right from the start of HT production that was the only place to get a 308. I think your dates of when they ran out of 307 stock is about right.

Your statement about GTS hubcaps in HK/T/G is actually wrong, they are different for each model- most obvious to notice from afar is HG has black in the 'centre cap' around the lion as opposed to red.

I don't know much on the premier or brougham hubcap intricacies, so can't comment on that.

HK Premier hubcaps are all black centre as are Kingswood and I believe Brougham has the same black centre.
HT Premier has white and Kingswood as well but it looks like the HT Brougham is the same as the HK, I do not recall seeing a white Brougham centre hubcap at all.
HG Premier is red centre as is Kingswood and Brougham.

I do not know about the GTS HK-T-G I believe they are all the same.

HD hubcaps are the same as the HR but for the HR is white centre and HD are black, and then we se this same hubcap on LC and LJ 6 cyl Torana with LC having HD caps and LJ got HR caps, then we see the same on the LH Torana 4cyl base model is HR cap.

The HK to HG "sports wheel discs" ie GTS hubcaps are:

HK dark outer red centre
HT are light grey outer red centre
HG are dark outer with black centre

I don't think there were any Broughams with 307. I have details of all of the early HT Brougham pilots like 1-A, 2-A and 1-H5 etc. All the Dandenong and Acacia Ridge examples. Even the prove tooling pilots, body pilots and the CKD pilot for South Africa. They are all 308 powerglide 2.78 banjo.

10/69 is when 308 replaced 307. If you retail ordered a car (that is you didn't buy a stock order off the schedule) after about 7/69 you'd probably have gotten a 308, just depends upon timing and what was left.

What is interesting in those initial HT pilots are two sales promotion vehicles (brochure cars). One is a 307 manual 3.36 GTS in Verdoro with 18X trim, and the other is a 307 manual 2.78 Premier sedan in Firemist black metallic with Turquoise Mist cloth trim and black vinyl roof, you can see this car and its metallic paint in the HT sales brochure if you look closely enough.
