Are all VT 5 litre clearanced for the striker crank? Are the rods and pistons different in them? I have a good VT 5 litre a d just considering stroking it.

I believe they are just like the VN in that one can just dump a stroked crank in them. and rods are the same as VN on, The Sequential 5.0L has different pistons to the VN up, as too thin rings and 8.8:1 that's a higher compression, not that with a stroker you will use the old rods or pistons.

As to all EFI Blocks you have room for the stroked crank and the earlier carby Blocks that one may need to grind out some points in the Block to fit some stroked types but not all.

Around the VR series is when Holden made the 304 V8 cast with stroker clearance. Prior to that you need to get a bit machined out.

As above. Mid VR. Easy to pick. The blocks that aren't clearanced say 5.0L on the side. Those that are clearanced to be 304ci (5.0L) or 350ci (5.7) are blank on the side.
