Hi all,
Were the 350 Rams Horn exhaust manifolds also used on the QU engines or where they discontinued after the 350M/A engines?
Also were they cast in Australia?

Half and no. HQ had one Ramshorn and they were all cast in Canada or the USA. |

.. everyone back then (inc me) took 'em off and chucked them over their left shoulder into the nearest scrap bin then fitted a set of extractors.. and a set of large (2 5/8?) pipes, no mufflers or resonators interrupting the exhaust gases which then connected with the large rear 'across' muffler with the chromed 4 tips
A HT GTS 350 Munro on the over-run just had this note to it (helped if you had a tank of Avgas.. about 25c/litre back then)

I had a mate that ran a mix avgas in his 308 HX van and wouldn't leave home without it. Had to drive quite a distance to near the airport to get it also but it didn't phase him as he loved that extra bit of poke when he dropped the clutch and fed it to it. He also swore that the column shift was better as it kept your left hand closer to the wheel and was faster on the change with the double pump on the clutch the most effective method for braking traction. The double pump im guessing was the showman in him as I fail to see the benefit other than a possible pre heating of the tyres before they really copped it
After they were discontinued on the HQ, was the 350 fitted with extractors? or another cast manifold?
If fitted with extractors were they linked together with a 1 piece bolted flange or were they individually secured to the head?
You see the aftermarket extractors offered by some with the one piece flange or individually bolted. I would assume that the individually bolted extractors would be the best option as the bolted pressure would greater/more even on the sealing face than if spread over a greater area between the inner exhaust ports along the one piece section.

This set of apparent 308 set of extractors for sale appears to have a different flange size on the left? and I don't think the pipework is correct either?
