I had the displeasure of using the standard HQ jack yesterday (in a storm) and found it very inadequate. I had to use all my muscle laying on the ground for leverage to wind the thing up. I can't think this is normal? It is (what I call) the scissor type that is diamond shaped.

I am used to the ht and hj bottle type with the 3 stage screw lift which is easy.

I've still got one, it lives in the Buick. The initial lift is the hard part, it gets easier as the car is raised. Does it need oiling?
Attn camry drivers. The accelerator is the skinny pedal on the right.

It probably does need an oil, that probably makes a difference, yes, it did get easier as it went up, but still don't reckon those of the fairer... Err.. type would have got it off the ground oiled or not.
