There are several brands on the market. I always preferred the Hella H4s, AFAIK they are still available.

Also I believe that outer beam is the low/hi & the inner beam is hi only.

Dr Terry

If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0

I always liked the sealed beam aircraft landing lights for the inners on Quad headlight fronts. I used to run 130W but you can get them in 100W. Outers just the H4 100/55.
For twin headlight fronts I used H4’s with 130/80.

Make sure you use relays though for 100W lamps, you don’t want to run 20-30A through the high beam switch and wiring.

I have a single headlight tonner and use the Hella inserts with H4 100/55 globes. No problems, they have been working fine for well over 10 years with only one filament blowing. The inserts also feel solid, there is a good amount of glass there which IMO makes them stronger.

I did have to notch the sheet metal headlight holder to get clearance for the park light however. About a square inch or so of metal removed IIRC. Again no problems, it just took a bit longer to fit them.
EDIT: It wasn't the sheet metal surround, it was the metal headlight-shaped holder that needed some metal removed.

I use a relay. I would recommend you get a relay from an auto-sparky. There are relays designed specifically for headlights and the one the sparky recommended has performed flawlessly despite years of dust and filth.

As a side-note, the sealed beam headlights that were on the tonner when I bought it could best be described as "about as bright as two candles"! When the Hella replacements went in it made a VERY BIG difference, much brighter!

Decided to go with the Hella 1055 (H4) for the outers with 100/55w lamps & 1053 (H1) for the inners with 55w lamps

Hopefully they fit !

Use a relay for the hi beam lamps.
