Hi All

I am going to install a rochester quadrajet on a mild 308 in a HJ (because the holley 650 DP i have seems to be very thirsty).

Does anyone have an installation guide that can show me how to install the new carby?

All help appreciated.

Does it still have the original HG inlet manifold? If so, best bet is to find an original HT-HJ or LH - mid 1976 LX 308 and take some pictures with the air cleaner off. Failing that the Gregorys manual isnt bad in this area - number 86.

Jim, I think you will find the Rochester Quadrajet is rated to flow between 760 to 780 depending on model. The good thing about them is they have variable flow and only supply the airflow required. But as you say small primaries, good economy and big seco

Is your holley box stock, or has it been jetted for the 308?
I think most 650 DPs are jetted from the factory for around 350/351 + ci.
If it hasnt yet been jetted, get a jet kit and start jetting down the primaries.
