MODEL: VH COMMODORE
The National Police Pack option has been developed to provide a
uniform base vehicle and set of options, for use by all Australian Poltce Departments.
Vehicles built under the option BT1 have the following features;
ADDED
-Rear door armrests are fitted to front doors.
-Door map pockets(SL/E door bins-untrimmed),
-Roof wiring loom as per current Tas.Police vehicles),
-1" cable hole in L.H.S. firewall & 2.5 mm hole plug-ref.sketch 3. -Dual high note horns-ref.sketch 5,
-1" master cylinder(disc brakes only).
-Roof rail harness -
-Headlamp harness
-100/55 watt headIamp bulbs refer -sketches 3 & 4.
- Headlamp relay.
-Auxiliary speedometer lead assembly.

THe Base Model Police Vehicle Carries the Following Equipment:-
-3.3 litre 6 cylinder engine.
-4 speed manual gearbox(3.5:1 first gear, -3.08;1 rear axle ratio,
All Vehicles Carry the Following Mandatory Equisment:-
-Remote L.H_ external roar vision mirror.
-Anti-glare interior rear vision mirror prismatic)..
-Certified speedometer.
-Full instrumentation(including oil,volts & tacho.). -Locking Fuel filler cap,
-Vertical lift Front seat height adjuster.
-Door assist handles (1 front, 2 rear),
-Revised spare wheel mounting-ref_sketch I.
-Reworked front & rear fender openings and fender inner liner deleted for tyre clearance).
-Combinad dome reading lamps,
-Floor reinforcement front seats'.
-Improved suspension system - ref.sketch 2.
NATIONAL POLICE PACK BT11 continued:
The Following Options are Available:-
-5.0 litre V8 engine.
-4.2 litre V8 engine.
- Not fuel handling kit.
-Police engine equipment.
-Limited slip differential.
- Automatic transmission(Trinatic code LS).
- Modified auto. trans. OEft mechdnism. -4 speed manual gearbox (2.S4:1 first gear -Coniole A armrest.
- 2.6, 2.78 or 3.36:1 rear axle ratio. -Tinted glass.
Front :suspension Alignment specifications are as follows:- With the vehicle at curb weight (full tank of fuel)
- Castor 2 degrees + or - 1 degree
- Camber 0 degrees 30 minutes + or - 30 minutes
- Toe-in (Degrees) Total :0 degrees 20 minutes + or - 20 minutes
- Toe-in (Degrees) per wheel :0 degrees 10 minutes + or - 10 minutes
- Toe-in (mm) Total :2.0 + or - 2.0
- Toe-in (mm) per wheel :1.0 + or - 1.0
The adjusting Values for camber and castor must remain within the tolerance specified and the difference between left and right must not exceed 1 degrees 0 minutes.
Other Information.
- Standard lining and pad material is used in the brake system.
-Radio interference suppression equipment may be fitted to some vehicles, this equipment will be described in detail In a Tech./info. Bulletin to be issued in the near future.
