Can anyone shed any light on whether the 350 Ht had vented wheels and if so are they same as Hk wheels? Are standard wheels 6” not 5? Thanks in advance Cheers

350 manual had 6” HT-HG rally wheels with slots cut into them. They are unique wheels and haven’t been made since the early 70’s. 350 auto used the same rally wheels as the rest of HT with 6” wheels. These have been made by ROH again in recent times.
HT-HG wheels are all different to HK, and yes standard HT wheels are 5” and 1/2” less offset than HK 5” wheels. This is why standard HT-G track is 1” wider than HK.

Most of the HK-HG Rally wheels I have ever found have been off trailers. Today you’ll be lucky to find any especially special HT-HG 1837 manual wheels. Remember there was only maybe 750-800 or thereabouts cars made and lots suffered the fate of Smitty’s wheels which is how they ended up on trailers. At least with the GTS327’s wheels you can find them, or close enough, on lots of other HK’s that were either standard or optioned with D70 tyres. Same with HT-HG GTS350 auto. I actually saw an original 1969 HT GTS the other day, standard GTS driveline but it was originally optioned with 6” wheels. I thought it was a V8 GTS at first until I saw the firewall and floor.

Thanks again Hk1837, we’re the Hk wheels 6” or only 5”?? If they made Hk wheels in 6” would they be ok on the Ht?

HK Rally wheels were 6” but more offset than a HT 6”. Look very different too. HK 6” with wheel spacer are about the same offset as HT-G 6”.

I’d have to check, but you could option Aquajet radials. Standard were (from memory) D70 Dunlop rags, same as GTS327. There were also 185 Michelin XAS optional, which is what the 3 podium cars at Bathurst in 1969 were running. There should have been a Pirelli radial optional as well.
Today you’d be hard pressed to find a radial tyre in 14” size speed rated enough for a GTS327 or GTS350 or GT-HO. I think there are still 185x14 Michelin XAS still made in what is V rating today though. Best off switching to 15”.
