Late Hz Wb v8 full cable pull type clutch, is the top cable mount bracket the same on both 6 and 8 cylinder? I have the correct pedal but not sure I have the correct bracket the cable goes through. Also does the pedal need a return spring and if it does has anyone got the spring they would sell? Thanks in advance

Bracket is the same, it has the two pivot holes in it for the clutch pedal pivot. Top hole is for a 6cyl car and only about 8/78 HZ onwards have that second pivot hole. The bottom hole is for the V8 pedal and you can use it in any HQ-HZ without the top pivot hole.

The return spring is inside the pedal pivot, held there by the bushes. See the one here:

Someone was selling repro pedals, they may sell the springs too. I think the 6cyl pedal uses the same spring. Maybe ask them what they did for the spring:

Here is a cheaper one that has the spring and the cable support if you are missing that, This is a 6cyl pedal though:

9945732, 6cyl and V8 springs are the same part number.
