Vehicle not wanting to start after timing belt replacement

Hello, I have a Holden RG Colorado 06/2012. Just did a timing belt replacement, everything went smoothly with it. Once we reassembled everything the vehicle did not want to start (it would crank though). Disconnected the Camshaft position sensor and the vehicle started. Plugging in the sensor again the vehicle did not want to start. Tested the sensor and it was working but to be sure it was replaced and the issue still occurs. Seeking guidance on what to do

Checked the ground to the sensor and it seemed to be ok. Starting to suspect maybe something hasn’t “synced” since the timing. Not sure what else to test for.

My guess is that the cam timing is slightly out. The ECU can see that & won't let it start. Disconnect the cam sensor & it cannot see that the timing is out, so then it starts.

If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0 |
