I have a 1974 HQ statesman with the build number EHQ 160XX8 and the chassis number AHQ00XX2A. Has it been in a wreck or something or did it come like this from factory? Cheers Edited by user Monday, 6 January 2025 8:46:50 PM(UTC)

Chassis change. It’ll be a Pagewood (NSW) body and tags with an Elizabeth (SA) chassis. Firewall number will be reasonably close to the chassis number in the compliance plate. |

Ah awesome! Thanks for the clarification. Any reason why they do it like this? |

                Great...
How do you distinguish between the Pagewood plant and Elizabeth plant?

The Tags. The A and the S on the chassis numbers are dead giveaways too. |
