Good morning. What colour was the tail shaft from a September 73 HQ 308 4 speed 4 door Monaro painted from the factory? What would be the closest colour match? Thank you.

I believe that tailshaft should be white.

Agree, white. One of the more common HQ-HZ tailshafts. Shouldn't be hard to find someone who has matched it, but any plain white would do. I wouldn't be surprised if it was Glacier White and later changed to Cotillion White for HJ to HX and then to Palais white for HZ. But it could also just be plain white tinter. |

That makes sense, any plain white tinter should work. To complete your car’s look and protection, you might also consider getting your car windows tinted.
