Have a manual VH manual steering rack that needs a new bush on the passenger side. Got the Superpro bush and need to remove the passenger side rack end to fit it.

The lock nut on the rack end has a locking pin and am just curious how the pin comes out. Can’t see a hole on the other side to punch it out and it is recessed enough that it can’t be pulled out.

Any suggestions appreciated.

It needs to be drilled out.

It is a lot easier to replace the LH bush or do any other repairs with the rack out on the bench, of the car.

Brilliant. Thank you a million.

Suspected that might be the case. Out comes the rack.
