Have a manual VH manual steering rack that needs a new bush on the passenger side. Got the Superpro bush and need to remove the passenger side rack end to fit it. The lock nut on the rack end has a locking pin and am just curious how the pin comes out. Can’t see a hole on the other side to punch it out and it is recessed enough that it can’t be pulled out. Any suggestions appreciated. Edited by user Wednesday, 8 October 2025 7:55:11 PM(UTC)

It needs to be drilled out.
It is a lot easier to replace the LH bush or do any other repairs with the rack out on the bench, of the car.

Brilliant. Thank you a million.
Suspected that might be the case. Out comes the rack.
