Am looking at installing 308 motor and auto box out of vc commodore
into lx torana sedan would anybody know what mods would be required
or extra parts required to complete conversion

Only thing that you have to change is sump, pickup, dipstick and exhaust manifolds.

you may have to look at the polution gear as in some states
the rules follow the motor used in transplants,
original carby and airfilter for that motor etc

That is correct, but if the engine is complete it will all be there. If its a pre 6/76 LX youll just need the later LX/UC Canister and kickdown wire/switch on the gearbox. If you are really unlucky theyll make you fit the exhaust manifolds of a later LX w

Greg is correct about the mounts etc. but you might get away with the different water pump & pulleys on the Blue V8. Depending on what engine fan you are running, you may only need to alter the fan spacer. It all depends on how much room you end up with b

Yes I forgot about the engine mount adapters, but Id leave the blue water pump and pulleys as that is exactly what Id put on a red motor anyway.

The other thing to be wary of is what bellhousing pattern the 308 is. This will dictate what gearbox you us
