Rank: Member Reputation: Groups: Registered Joined: 4/10/2008(UTC) Posts: 77		Wondering if anybody can help with LH fast idle sticking on.When starting the car the fast idle stays on even if car warmed up , you have to physically flick the rod down to stop the fast idle.Have to take the car for re-licencing next week and would like to fix the problem.Any help would be appreciated

Rank: Member Reputation: Groups: Registered Joined: 28/04/2005(UTC) Posts: 758		hi Fitzi, What engine (ie 202, 253, 308 etc) and what carby model (Stromberg, Holley, Quadrajet). As a general comment, the metal springs on autochokes go nuts in cold weather. The same setting for summer isnt the same for winter. It usually a screw adjustment. cheers John
