Wondering if anybody can help with LH fast idle sticking on.When starting the car the fast idle stays on even if car warmed up , you have to physically flick the rod down to stop the fast idle.Have to take the car for re-licencing next week and would like to fix the problem.Any help would be appreciated

hi Fitzi,

What engine (ie 202, 253, 308 etc) and what carby model (Stromberg, Holley, Quadrajet).

As a general comment, the metal springs on autochokes go nuts in cold weather. The same setting for summer isnt the same for winter. It usually a screw adjustment.

cheers John
