Hey guys, my old man bought a VK Commodore a while back with a rebuilt engine and its been off the road for about 6 years.
My old man has given me a list of questions to ask you guys but before I do i will list the specs of the car as best i can from memory, just to give you a better idea.
The engine specs are:
Black 308ci bored 60thou oversize, 10:1 compression, 355 crank (not sure of brand), ported and polished yella terra heads (apparently can take any size cam), fully adjustable roller rockers, stage four cam dynamics camshaft by Crane, speed pro pistons and rings, rebuilt quadrajet carby, HDT twin point dizzy, HDT CAI.
The transmission is an M21 aussie four speed with a one tonner clutch, which runs into a 3.08 salsbury diff.
The questions are as follows:
1. What would have to be done to put a 383 crank in the bottom end, would that be pushing the limit?
2. Something regarding a Harrop intake manifold so the car can run on Unleaded fuel (is it even worth it?)
3. Would a T5 5 speed manual slot straight in or would the stud pattern have to be changed?
This car will be used as a daily driven street machine.
All and any advice would be appreciated heaps.
Cheers guys.
