I have a VK Calais with a VN 5.0lt in it and it wont start. It was all ok until i moved the dizzy around to undo the dizzy cap clips to replace the rotor button. Thats all i have touched, now it has no injector pulse when cranking, only when you 1st turn the key, which primes the injectors. Im stuck for ideas. It does not have theplug for the tech 1 tool or a diagnostic plug. So i have spark, but jection pulse while cranking. I heard that the dizzy have to be spot on for it to start, eg 10 deg BTDC otherwise the whole injection curve will be out. Any help appreciated, saves me towing to the auto elec, Cheers

Thinking logically the spark should come after the injection, remember the piston is still on the way up (just) when the intake valve is still open for the fuel injection, and firing would take place just before (10 deg) TDC, so if the injectors are pulsi

Second thought, have you checked all the electrical connections it might be something stupid like knocked a wire off somewhere.

If not too late here....Get number one cylinder to 10 deg before TDC on compression stroke. Pull number 1 plug, reconnect it to lead and place on motor so you get a good earth (probably help if it is a bit dark too...). Turn on ignition, then turn dizzy b
