Thanks: 1 times
I have just got a quadrajet carby off a mate but he says it came off a warm 308 and i have a stock 253. It does run but haven't been able to take it for a spin yet.

What i wanted to know was can anyone give me a rough guide for jetting and also somewhere to get jets prefer in Adelaide as i don't want to have to wait 2 weeks for some mail order joint everytime i need a change.

Thanks in advance

I dont think its a jetting thing in quadrajets. I think it is a metering adjustment.

i cant remeber on the primary side for the jets total memory block sorry, but the seconary its the metering rods that change lenght and diameter, you really need a collection of different quads to get the parts etc, there is a book you can get on them is a good read, to buy look on the net in the u.s
or ring aound the find a tuning place thats has experiance with quads.
you could allways try it the way it is and keep an eye on the spark plugs, you really need a wide band oxygen sensor to tune, thats what they will use at a dyno place but can be done on the road as well if you can find a place to use wide open throttle.
