Hi there Confused myself abain. Can anyone explain how these 2 types of boots were used in the HG range please?? Cheers Jeremy |

The one with the metal part fits over the gear lever and is screwed to a metal section cut in to the transmission tunnel. The rubber one of course also over the gear lever is fixed to the console. Also used on HK and HT....Jack

Thanks for the reply.
So the top one was more to seal the hole in the trans tunnel and was hidden by the console then??
Could the Saginaw be optioned without the console? If so only the top one showing and carpetted around & over the metal plate??

Saginaw was standard in ute and van where 4spd was ordered, so they wouldn't have had a console. Therefore I imagine you are correct that the top one just sat there. |
