I recently received crook fuel from a popular supermarket outlet and the car in't running properly. I've been told by a Ford dealer that I would need to have the injectors cleaned etc. I changed the filter and this has made no difference. Thoughts?

try the old Metho in the fuel tank trick, the metho picks up the water and helps run it through the system or a few bottles of Injector Cleaner and 98 octain fuel

Try Spitfire or one of the Nulon injector cleaners. There is also another product called fuel doctor that you can get from super cheap. Not sure how well that one works though it does make a lot of claims.

injectors need to be seviced every 100,000 km if left over time they can run bad and give poor ecconomy.just a thought.

Might be the cheap fuel that you are buying from Supermarkets. Most of their supplies is supposedly imported from Indonesia and has a higher sulphur content and more impurities.

You get what you pay for.

I got a tank full of sludge from a petrol depot which was ipossible to drain. It ruined two ford gauge filter assembleys.I had to remove the tank, remove the gauge, tip out contents then sponge it out, put in clean fuel swirl around then sponge out again
