Hi,
My Monaro never came out with rear seat belts, now I need to get some made up for rego.
Can someone tell me if they lap-sash or just lap?
Also, do they need to comply with AS with the newer webbing or would an old style repro pass?

Mick

Just asking Mick, if it didn't come out with rear seat belts why do you have to install them now for rego?

Having said that I did put them in the rear of mine, but apparently these days you have to have an Engineer approve the installation of the mount plate under the parcel shelf.

I've also had the blue with the rego guy about side mirrors, which I won and then installed them anyway, fat lot of good they are though.

Needed to do an Application for Vehicle Modification (WA) since it was last rego'd with a 186 now has an SBC.
Seem to be pretty picky with the new National Standard rules- Approved, but since the new chev engine has >20% more power than the factory 350 (not hard to do these days) means that they want a "safety upgrade" which includes collapsible steering column (factory), dual circuit brakes (factory) and of course seat belts for all occupants.. anyway, I'll need to put in a baby seat so might not be a bad thing..
But I also need an engineer to give it a tick so thats probably similar to getting a mount plate checked off.
If anyone has been through the process, interested to know how it went..
