Gday everyone, My daughter has just bought her self a VZ with 3.6 and 4 speed auto. Since she has owned it she has complained about it "surging" when I was in the car the other day the "surging" seemed to be the auto not wanting to change up a gear when overtaking or hardish acceleration, to get it to change under these circumstances she needs to lift her foot. Question is......is this just a service or are there other possible or knowen problems in this model ???

Thanks for any and all comments cheers Barry

Just an update: This Vz has 125k on it and apparently the auto has never been opened since been fitted from the factory !! So it had a service today, lets see if that improves its performance, if not then we have to start chasing the electrics to see what is not operating in the correct manner.

On a side note to this the Transmission fellow said he had one VZ that had an auto shifting problem that he traced back to the factory radio, even though the wiring looms are not related.....remove the radio no shift problem, replace the radio shift problem. They fitted another stereo to the VZ and it solved the problem..........

Has anyone ever heard of other electrical problems like this ?

cheers Barry
