I drove my car in the rain for the first time in a long time the other day and the wipers were shuddering over the screen getting worse as it dried off. i think it may be the arms. Any other idears? the screen has rain-x on it which helps.

I'd look at the rubbers first.
Attn camry drivers. The accelerator is the skinny pedal on the right.

I have had cheap after market brand new wipers and shudder straight away. Buy genuine ones (if you can). Definitely the rubber.

Are you 100 percent sure it was raining? Sometimes my wipers shudder for hours and then I realise its not raining.

Is it just mine, or are all HQs a bit prone to this problem?
Was watching some archive footage of the devastation caused by Cyclone Tracey which was shot out of an HQ news car when they were new.
You could clearly hear the wipers juddering as they were filming just like mine do a lot of the time!
