hey guys, i bought a 93 rodeo 2.8L TD about 6 months ago, and when i first got it i was getting around 550 kms a tank. recently that has dropped to around 420 or so. the other day when i was changing the oil i noticed a wet patch on the passenger side wishbone just below the shocker mounting point, had a look and whatever it was smelt like diesel. so i tried to trace it, thinking i've got a leaking fuel line or something and once i get to the top of the shocker it's dry. checked the fuel lines to and from the filter and as far back as i could in the engine bay, all dry. oh and i've only noticed it twice, but it seems like the first 10 metres or so i drive after it's been parked overnight i leave a trail on the ground, driver's side. i haven't got under and had a look as i can't really, i dont have anywhere to do it. but anyone got any suggestions? cheers

Could be coming out of the fuel pump. The seals don't last with modern diesel. My 91 hilux did this. Got to the stage it was running out when ever it was going. Had to fit a reconditioned pump with viton seals.
