A little expert help please,

I, like many others I'm sure, am looking to replace my EH crash box with any other manual on the tree, and I was wondering what if any mods to the tunnel need to be done to get the HQ 3 speed all synchro in?
It's the smaller EH tunnel mind you, so wondering if it can be done easily?
I do know about the column mods, considering this

if there are no major tunnel mods needed.

Any help/advice will be greatly apprieciated

It seems the answers are in the link you provided. I have seen many hundreds of EH's and have not actually seen an All synchro fitted without a floor shift, so I cannot comment on how the column shifter will work or fit. I can say it is not a common modification.
