In the hk ht hg series 6 cylinder models are the powerglide and trimatic tailshafts the same length and will they interchange?

To my knowledge all HK/T/G 6-cyl with 3-sp all-synchro manual, Powerglide & Tri-Matic had the same tailshaft, which was 56.27-inches long (uni to uni) & painted brown.
