No. 3914636 is 307 only. Aussie 327's were either 3914660 (1968 HK GTS327 and GMH assembled Impala and Parisienne) or 3932386 (second type HK GTS327).

GMH 3914636 are all McKinnon (Canada) cast.
GMH 3914660 are all Tonnawanda (New York) cast.
GMH 3932386 are all McKinnon cast.

You can pick whether one of these blocks is from a HK or from a GMH assembled CKD Chev/Pontiac by the engine numbers.

HK 327 engines can't be found in all Monaro, they are from a Monaro GTS327 only. Whereas 307's can be from any HK or any early HT (except HT Brougham). The Impala or Parisienne 327 engines are the same thing but have a different engine number suffix plus they have a flex plate, different sump/pickup and a different carby plus whatever other small items to fit them in a different vehicle and auto.

Original GTS327 blocks aren't cheap. I have 3 but one has been restamped, 1 x Pagewood type 1, 1 x Pagewood type 2 and a Dandenong type 1. I almost bought a WB tonner a few years back to get an Acacia Ridge GTS327 engine, drove to Toowoomba with a car trailer and walked away as the stamping was a dog's breakfast. They are so rare i'd never seen one in the flesh, found out a few days later that Acacia Ridge stampings are like that. In the end I reckon i'd have trouble convincing anyone that this particular engine was a proper assembly plant stamping.

You'll pick up Impala/Parisienne engines pretty easily, but sometimes people have themselves convinced they are HK engines and want a mint for them.

Type 1 HK GTS327 engines are the easier ones to find, type 2 are basically extinct outside surviving cars.

If that’s the one that was dug out of the ground I’d be doing a Police check on it. Also check with the AOMC to get the chassis number of the car it originally came from and check it for possible stolen history.
Date code is on the side. Will start with an 8 and be about 4-6” long.
