Hi all

It's been a while since I've been on so hopefully everyone is going well.
I've got a VY (ute) with factory gas. I first started getting the message 'fuel gauge error contact retailer' with the annoying beep, beep.
It was recommended that I get the fuel gauge calibrated so I did at the local mechanic using the Snap On scanner. The fuel gauge on the gas tank was replaced first. The outer one as it was sticking but now works fine.
The problem I have is that the scanner wouldn't pick up a signal from the LPG sender and so the gauge on the dash is reading empty.
The mechanic thinks it may be an interface unit that's carked it but I don't know where to look. Apart from tracing the wires and pulling the car to bits.
Does anyone know whether this model actually has an interface unit for the petrol/lpg sender/gauge or is it integrated into the ECU?
Hopefully someone will know as I hate having the gauge on empty all the time.....even though I know there is gas in the tank.
The litres per 100 km still works but not the gauge or distance to empty.
Help!!!!
Thanks in advance
Blue HJ.....now white VY
