Great looking ute.

What style of wheel trims are those, they look like the rounded type in the pic.

Thanks mate, You have a good eye

Because i made the 14 inch GTS wheels into 15 inch i couldent use the original 90 degree square wheel trims .

I went to Auto 1 and they had some 15 inch wheel trims ( round edge only), I bought 5 for $150 not bad hey . would of been nice if they were the square ones ,
cant get em in 15 inch.

Just got to make sure they are kept dry and polished . but for that price if they did rust you would just replace them .

The original 14 inch GTS ones cost i think over $300

Cheers

Yeah OK that explains it.
I was just surprised at the effort youd gone to with turning this car into what it is then backed off there.

They still look OK though but like you say the square edge ones would have been better.

Good luck with the Street Machine gig.

Not sure how much the front is lowered, the rear has monroe air shocks , Now and then it gets a load in the back so its handy to
pump them right up to 100 psi. I checked if there was any air in the rear shocks the other day after the photo was taken and the rear came down a bit.

I thought you couldent get the 15 inch square edge wheel trims but found out REX rare spares sells square edge Chev ones .

Ill keep you posted , hopefully he does

With regards to the GTS guards they were not an option on the HZ Sandman - dunno why???
Looks like a wikid ute, Ive got a 79 HZ but I dont believe its a Sandman even thou its dressed up and has all the factory options, mine was built after the last Sandman Ute rolled off the line in Brissy.
try www.sandmanowners.com or www.monaroparts.com for identifiying info and factory specs.

Thanks Man,
I agree with you with regards to the GTS guards not being a option on sandman only.

I seriously think that Genuine HZ Sandman Utes DID NOT come out with GTS guards, But that is my opinion .

Have done more work to the ute in the last 2 days,

New front window glass LH & RH (didnt that take effort) I had to smash the old glass to get it off the channels & rubbers. the brand new glass comes bare with no channels.

Also new Chrome tailgate hinges . & all new dash guage lenses and a new yellow needle clock that works .

Robbo do you have any pics of your Sandman?
