Thanks OzyGunja, yep the fuel refill is a bit of a mess.
Im thinking of putting a 253 in the HZ to replace the 202 for power and mileage improvement.Has anyone experience with that?

gday mate, real nice wagon there, for the swap you will need engine, go trimatic for simplicity, then your tailshaft will slide straight in, if your gentle on her, the six cyl diff and tailshaft will more than do the trick, but otherwise you would need front v8 springs, and you should be away.
i would recommend a set of tri y extractors, with 2 1/4" collectors into a 2 1/2" single sports exhaust with a sports muffler. Ive just fitted one to my hz prem wagon, real nice, unlocks a bit more performance and economy.
are you looking to undertake the swap yourself, or getting it out sourced? Oh, and try to get the engine and box complete from a hz with the wiring loomfrom the bulkhead connector. makes life a little easier. only other thing you will need is a new v8 accelerator cable, and your set.
Goodluck with it mate, and great to see more likeminded people out there.
