hi would alterations would i need to put a 460 big block in a coupe i know i need a engineers cert but what else would i need to do i need some help

engine mounts/gearbox mount different exaust needs to be hand made tight fit but easy to do

Some extra welding on the front and maybe a brace over the shocky towers just to be safe. 460s have a lot of torque and like to bend Falcons but they do give good bang for your buck.

my boss is, so i get anything certified. u also need mount spacer plates too change the angle and height of the block.

plus the xc cobras came out with a 460 in them by rumor but as only about 5 or so made.

I think you will find they were XB GT coupes with a 428 in them. About 3 to 5 made, shown to Ford management and rejected. From what I have heard 2 of them ended up in Perth.

yeh maybe, but i know the cobras came out wid 460 bb in only few. of coures a race specticle .

To the best of my knowledge there were no 460 factory Falcons made in any model. The 5 or so race special cobras, the pre-cobra cobra came out with a 351 clevo. All Bathurst Cobras came out with the 351. Out of the 400 CObras made it was 200 302s and 2

only ford in australia to come out with 428 was in a xy built for ford company director still owns it i beleve. To my knowlege this was the only big block ford in aust

Wayne, do you mean the 428 XW Bill Bourke special? A lot of people think it's an XY as it has the shaker but it's actually an XW. AMC did a good write up on it a few issues back. There were a few big block XB GTs done as promo cars and maybe a big bloc
