Yes, the standard Blue 4.2 V8 puts out 100 kW with single exhaust & 115 kW with dual exhaust. The HDT Group 3 4.2 V8 puts out 152.9 kW. Dr Terry. |
If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0 |

Did the GROUP 3 253 only get the small diff and M20 box. What was the price difference between the 253 G3 and 308 G3. The 253 must have the same cam and heads as the 308 ?

its the only enthusiast site i have ever come across where the owners of collectible cars actually devalue thier own cars.. bitchin and moaning about the prices of other peoples cars and what they presume it should be worth does nothing to increase values for what they may actually own.. going to church makes you no more a christian than standing in a garage makes you a car... www.classicozwreck.com.au |

I think the VH SS 253 actually got an M21 box, but should have had a small salisbury. I dont think the 253 would have got B cast heads as the valves would be too big for it, but Im not sure of that at all - someone will correct me if wrong. _______________________________________________________ If we all had the same (good) taste, who would buy all the Fords? |

Got that right Greg! Theres is a lot of knowledge and passion there but jeez they go on about factory original.... They really do wreck things for themselves by over analysing everything. They just need to get in the car and go for a drive!

If I had rare factory original anything I would cut it in half and improve it. If it is old or rare - Cut it! http://www.ehlimo.com.au/ |
