Jim, Rare Spares sell the spacers if you need them. Also VN rear seat belt spacers are just about spot on too. Try a few and get the ones without the step in the end.

V8 bracket is easy to find, 6cyl is harder. Just be careful of which crankshaft pulley you use. With standard alternator bracket HQ-WB uses a 2 or 3 row pulley that has the innermost pulley hard up against the balancer. Commodore have a gap to the first pulley, although I have seen cast iron 3 row pulleys that are the same config as HQ-WB on EFI engines. From memory HQ-WB has the power steering on the innermost pulley and alternator on the second row with A/C on the outside.

Byron ,you are dead right again ,thats the set up I got , I got a 308 (mild)from a statesman and it has the triple pulley on it as you described and 1..is pwr st ...2 is alt....3 is air(which ILL never use too expensive to hook up and I know nothing about them_).Your answer will help heaps of people IF they can be bothered to read ,that is the beauty of these forums ,I have never built a Holden before (just American cars and a few fords, chargers etc.long time ago!!)and ,I just surf here looking for the answers and usually find them.Thanxz for all the help so far(there will be more needed) as Im thing about HEI Ignition but dont know how to do it.

in the picture with the 4 types, ive got the 3rd one from the left with the proper coil ,but was after the 2nd one from the left as it runs an internal coil,is it worth it? they run good on american cars and it will clean up the engine bay a bit as im after a really simple engine bay look.but it is just a streeter and i maybe overdoing it .? I Have never bought anything from companys that can sell things cheap,it is never good news with parts like that,if you cant buy good stuff new you are better off at the wreckers to be honest.I will leave it for the initial fire up because it all works fine, but later I might change over. if you are after authentic look, then yes the 6 cyl pump is different to the V8, the 6 unit has a special double ended mounting bolt at the back, the V8 units just have a standard plug/bolt. easy enough to change over B4 you fill with fluid. also about the HX the bolts changed to metric, so make sure you have the correct bolts or you will strip the threds.
