I need a pic ( or written description ) of what a pollution pipe on the drivers side of the inlet manifold of a 308 looks like. Its mounted about level with the back of the carby. There is a flat plate with 2 bolt holes in it and the pipe comes in at 90*, goes through the plate and then bends 180* and come back through the plate and exits again at 90*. I need to know what each end of the pipe is hooked up to????
Does one end have a flare nut on it that screws onto the auto choke?
Any help appreciated and thanks in advance.

That is a HX-HX auto choke connection, not pollution pipes.

Thanks for that. So I guess the pipe that exits to the rear should have a flare nut on it to screw onto the choke bizzo.....where does the pipe that exits to the front end up?

There should be 2 holes in the manifold plate.pipes go..front to front...back to back...and the other ends should have threaded flanges on them for the carby / chokey kinda thingy..

From memory one of them has a hose on the end and goes to a vacuum port on the carb. The other goes to the auto choke threaded port. Ill see if I can find a picture of it. Which model? HX?

Im not bogging them....thats how it came back from the sandblasters. Ive got a new cowl to be fitted once I start the body work. Plan is to get it driving, steering and stopping then do the body work. The body has been off the chassis and its painted underneath and the chassis has new "everything" in the brake, steering and suspension.
