i got it done here in melbourne.. cant remember the name off the top of my head, but a couple places do it as far as i know.

i payed 115 a rim to go from 14x6 to 15x7, but the price was same/similar to go 14/15" and a wide range of widths and offsets/backspaces. :)

rare spares do a new pontiac rally 11 rim in 15 x 7 and 15 x 8 and 15 x 10.
looks very simular except the paint is different.

Adam is right, just get pontiac rims and if you need too you can sell the other ones ,or stash them until the price of them goes up even more stupidly than they are now,but they are still not too bad when you compare them to other rims, like centrelines for example, anyway the ponty rims are readily available and unaltered at the size you want.

Neale Wheels is Sydney do it. I was quoted $175 per rim for adding an extra inch to a 14x6.

If your game, do your own.
I have done a pair using ROH rims which you can buy from any place that sells steel mags, cost me $45 each rim, about 2 hours work, I have also just made up a slim line spare for a future project. All the GTS rim centres came from damaged rims, the most expensive was $15.
I will be adding a work guide on this subject on oldholdens holdapedia in the near future.

My GTS rims are quite rough and corroded on the rim itself so Ive wondered about this, not to really widen just make them decent again. Interesting to hear that Neales do them ...

Ive started to think Ill just retire them and go to Rallye II ... has anyone bought them locally and what is the quality like? I assume no issue fitting the GMH caps and nuts (I again assume they were always the same as the Pontiac gear anyway)?

the rally 11 pont roms are good quality. i think they are made by antique wheels USA.
i got mine with repo GTS holden centre caps which are impossible to steal and the angle lip 15" wchrome wheel trims for around $1300.

do the ,math, sell your avg cond rims for $400 (put toward rally rims) , save on sandblast and painting $300 and widing at $150 a corner = $1300

Thanks Adam,

Wheel Vintiques in the States do rallye II up to 16 X 7 or 8 and also in chrome. Always assumed that Antique Wheels here in Aus buy from them. I wonder?

Aside from weight, Id almost prefer a set of 16s in this more traditional style to the flash and pricey billet copies out there. I think the larger rim will also provide a better selection of tyres, particularly in a few years.

The rally wheel fitted to hq gts and on and others. wrongly called THE GTS RIM is a Pontiac sports rally wheel. when Pontiac went from 14 inch to 15 inch in 1970 gmh got them, one of the reasons for the stud patten change. more rim sizes and type selection

I have a 15x7 Pontiac rally wheel as a spare for my one tonner as i dont want to put a 15x7 inch mag as a spare or a 14 x6 and have to comply to the 80 by 80 kilometer limit
yes i will swap it for a 15 x 7 rim that has the same dimensions it is in melbourne

looking for an ex ambulance based on the hj/x/z 2 tonner see photo

and collector of all things ambulance police fire and the odd hq to wb parts

They look fantastic!

I have the same in 14x8 on mine, in black. They must be close to 5inch backspace, theyre so deep! Haha. I have centres of my caps black.

The tyre point is a valid one. Its increasingly hard to find wide 14inch tyres, and expensive.

In time ill be getting my centres turned into 15x8s, or maybe a little wider.
