i have just got a 2001 au falcon 4L there is a tapping noise it sounds like it coming from the top of motor it is there as soon as you start it and when you accellerate the tapping is faster i have 20/50 oil is this the right oil for it. is it the tappets if so how do you take them out do you have to take head off

I think AU 4.0l engines run a 10w30 engine oil? Where do you live in regards to climate?

Put the right oil in with a new filter and buy some Nulon that frees sticky lifters. Its about 10 or 12 dollars at super dooper cheap.
