Is there any difference between a V8 and 6 cylidner crossmember / subframe for a HT (or HK / HG for that matter)? My HT monaro has a HK premier subframe which I want to change back to a HT subframe (may be able to source one from a HT ute). Will the cross member from the HK subframe fit to the HT subframe? Thanks.

No, 6 and 8 are the same. Crossmembers will interchange between HK and HT/G. Id use the HT crossmember though, but make sure its not a real early HT, later is better as they have better geometry (upper control arms mounted 15mm or so higher).

Did all HT V8 monaros come with front disc brakes?

No, AFAIK in some States you could get a V8 HT Monaro with drums, but all GTS got discs. HG was disc brakes standard with a V8.

I am in Queensland - any idea where I could get the information about which states had the HT V8 with drum brake fronts?

Ben Stewart will know or Warren might also know. I got the States bit out of the Monaro Story. I thought discs as standard on V8 started in HG but I noticed Ben and Warren make the statement that it started in HT in some States.

i have an hg ute which im wrecking and its got a prem front on it where the subframe bolts up on the bottom it has 2 brackets that are bolted on there that come back about a foot or so with different holes could someone tell me what they are for i thought maybe a different gearbox x member but im not sure i dont know alot abut hg ect thanks

If its what I think you mean that is standard for HT and HG (except for a few Chev manual HTs) and it is where the gearbox crossmember bolts to. The brackets arent bolted on though, but welded or part of the front subframe.
